wow that was great to hear... I love none wing racing, and was pleasantly surprised to hear the respect most of the best guys in WOO guys think of USAC Sprint car racing.

I can handle lots of things , but this made me fall apart , and ball like a baby , wow .

I met Arlen in the late 90s at a Mopar meet in Dinwiddie Va. I probably have a compact VHS tape somewhere with him running at that meet. Great guy.

Saying best driver,well competition was different in his prime,you cannot compare it to this era

I just used mine this Sunday morning for the first time. I got mine from a dear friend who passed away. Hadn't used it until now. I love the glowing jewel design in the front. And I've always wanted one of these old fashioned, round-top toasters. Even just pushing down the lever to start the toaster, it feels more smooth & sturdy compared to the modern crap made today.

Great interview! You I seem to have a natural talent in getting people to open up to you with their replies. I miss these talks you have with drivers (I think even Sammy Swindell used more than three words). We miss you Jennifer. Maybe you'll get back into it a little again someday😊. Take care

just coming up on this now, been a dirt fan for many years off and on, but I remember the sod series running at baer field and avilla years back in the 1990's, and reading on the schedule about crystal motor speedway, around the time crystal Pepsi came out thinking it was some modernist huge asphalt track that was crystal clean and top rate not knowing it was a dirt track till youtubing it last year and seeing it was dirt and reminded me of the banking at Avilla in Indiana also a 3/8ths but started dirt then paved then went dirt over it for a time and then asphalt till it all ended in 1995 or 1996, also saw the sods at Angola but rain was in bound and they were low on fuel so they decided to refuel all of them so we left and it ended up rained out anyway fast forward after watching races on tnn and speed off and on with the world of outlaws and occasional dirt, finding races stremed from Jacksonville in Illinois in about 2019 the bug bit me again, and checking up on baer field they had some 1/4 mile dirt action they did for a few races and the track promoter was actually a distant relation of my moms family a muzzillo and he at the time owned the sod series or at least was its go to guy, they always start out at crystal every year though but at the time ended their championships at baer field till the owner died before Dave could buy it and his sons decided to close the raceway and put up for sale, and that was ok as covid hit and they would not be able to run in 2020 anyway. come to this year some locals were going to buy it and reopen it in 2022 or 2023 only to be allegedly outbid by gm who owns the huge plant that 5 miles away builds the Silverados and large gm vehicles, who plans to level the stands and buildings and use the area as a test track, so two days ago I went to get one last look at it only to be stopped by security guarding the whole thing parked up ever square foot with trucks that have no chips and cant be sold due to the shortage you cant even get back to the stadium to see the stands and race track anymore. and it was one of the last half miles in Indiana we have very few now and only one dirt half that races cars, though there is said to be a 1/2 mile flat track at the Elkhart county fairgrounds you know up by south bend and Notre dame university and all the Amish around that county, but I don't think they actually race cars there just monstertruck shows and demo derby during the fair and most likely horses or harness, as I said its up where there are lots of Amish and Mennonite, and farms galore, and they have a horse track for harness in shipppshawana, its also said Indiana is the hub of the wheel for trotters in the region and trying to make it more apt the reason they limestoned the Hoosier mile at Indy so they have a training facility for such horses, and parking for the state fair, never mind the fact they raced cars on the mile for over 100 years till 2021 and started 2 weeks before the last Hoosier 100 was to be held so they had to move it to terra haute, makes me mad as could be we are known for cars and racing like Michigan is for cars, and it was one of only three dirt miles left they raced the silver crown usac cars on on the schedule, I am pitching ideas on videos hoping someone in Indiana will bite or at least respond without laughing at me, but there are dirt horse tracks in anderson and Shelbyville Indiana that are big enough to possibly run cars on if time alots, and they are willing to try, we should not just give up our auto heritage if we still have a means to keep it alive even if its another location and in racing cities no less. you have Shelbyville which is just outside Indy, and Anderson where they have the little 500, or if you could convince tony to start working on that dirt mile mr balts started on but abandoned decades ago he has really built up Eldora it would be a real crown if they had a mile track that they could run mods flat track motorcycles and usac cars on, though it would be a large undertaking as well as larger maintenance then the already world famed high banked half they have, I am just pitching ideas though but I would love to see the crowns run on a dirt mile. and you should not have only Illinois to do it at. Not to take away from duquine or springfield, Shelbyville is part of the Indy metro anyway but I need to find out if they run the ponies there everyday or if hoosier downs would even allow cars on the track but I would sure be nice to see the silver crowns do what they were made for doing. don't all of you think so even though its not as popular as it once was?

Whatever happened to you

I just pulled my T-9 from the garage. I'm going to plug it in and make some toast. My old Sunbeam T-20 is midway through a thorough cleaning and reassembly. There's always something that needs cleaning and adjusting, even our bodies.

I'm working on cleaning my T-9 today; carefully, because I don't want to damage any hard to replace parts. Most people (in my opinion) don't do maintenance beyond polishing the outside and shaking out the crumbs. But maybe that's all they should do unless they're competent appliance repair people.

C'mon back once in a while Ok? Hopefully we'll all get to go racing again soon.

Jac actually drove a non wing car for one of our good friends a few years back. I forget the year, but remember hearing about it.
